'Floreat Bibliomania' – Great Collectors and their Grand Designs A centenary conference in memory of A.N.L. (Tim) Munby King's College, Cambridge University will host a conference on June 28-29, 2013 to commemorate the eminent bibliographer, A.N.L. Munby. Munby pioneered the historical study of British book collecting and the use of sale catalogues to trace the history of taste in books. He is best known for his accounts of obsessive book collectors of the nineteenth century, notably, Sir Thomas Phillipps. He was a Founding Trustee of the British Library. The conference theme is Floreat Bibliomania: Great Collectors and Their Grand Designs. The event will include presentations by distinguished speakers, visits to private exhibits and a festive dinner in historic surroundings. Tennessee Antiquarian Book Fair

The 2013 Tennessee Antiquarian Book Fair will be held July 20 and 21 at the Fowler Center on the campus of the University of the South in Sewanee.

2013 Vancouver Antiquarian, Collectible & Rare Book Fair

The 2013 Vancouver Book Fair - Antiquarian, Collectible & Rare will take place on Sat. Sept 28 (Noon to 7pm) & Sun. Sept 29 (Noon to 5pm) at UBC Robson Square, 800 Robson Street, Vancouver, BC.
The Vancouver Book Fair is the only antiquarian, collectible and rare book fair in Western Canada, and will feature many of Western Canada's top booksellers. On Friday evening, Primitive will host a cocktail party to kick off the fair. The party will include hors d'ouvers and a premium open bar by Berghoff Restaurant. During the cocktail party a silent auction of antique maps (donated by the exhibiting dealers) will be held to which proceeds from the auction and ticket sales will go to benefit the local charity Growing Home Inc.
The fair will run Saturday and Sunday, and consist of nearly 20 antique map, globe, atlas, and book dealers from across the U.S. and Europe. The Chicago Map Society will be running a three part lecture series by some of their antiquarian scholars. There will also be two tours running from the fair to the Newberry Library where guests can browse their world renowned map collection and learn the history of the building.

33rd Annual Florida Antiquarian Book Fair

The 33rd Annual Florida Antiquarian Book Fair returns to St. Petersburg's Historic Coliseum March 14-16, 2014. The book fair is the oldest and largest fair of its kind in the Southeastern United States and features more than one hundred specialized dealers from all over the country. The Fair is open Friday, March 14th, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday, March 15th, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, March 16th, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Friday evening's admission, which includes live classical music, is $10; the ticket is good for the entire weekend.
Tickets for Saturday and Sunday are $6 for the day or $10 for the weekend.
Children 12 and under, and students with valid identification, are free. Parking is free.
Ticket sales benefit the St Petersburg Public Library.
